"I enjoy what I do because I know I get to make a difference in the lives of my clients and their families. Getting to know my clients and being able to help improve their lives is truly satisfying.
I grew up in Southwest Missouri and went to college at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg. From there, I went to the University of Missouri in Columbia for law school. I then returned home in 1999 to establish my legal career and haven't left since.
Throughout my career, I have worked in a wide variety of cases for a wide variety of clients. I have over 20 years of experience advising clients all over the Missouri Ozarks. My experiences have ultimately given me a genuinely unique perspective on how to best guide my clients when developing an Estate Plan. I believe my clients benefit from my experience.
I went to law school dreaming of the high drama of courtroom battles like what we see in the movies. And while I still enjoy the courtroom, I have come to

realize how enjoyable it is to help clients with Estate Planning.
My goal is to always leave each client better off than when they first walked through my door. Estate Planning allows me to always be part of the solution.

"After the time David spends with each family to design their plan, I am the one who really puts it all together. I work closely with clients to make sure every detail of their estate plan is right.
The end results of our effort and seeing our clients walk out the door with PEACE OF MIND gives me great satisfaction. This is a job where I know I am able to truly make a difference.
I greatly enjoy my time at David Payne Law. It really doesn't seem like work most days. Being able to be part of a team of compassionate, understanding, and determined professionals, whose priority is to make a difference in the lives of our clients, is the best job I've ever had. I enjoy our clients so much, especially learning about their lives and families. I do get emotionally attached.
In my time away from the office, I love spending time with my husband, Tom, visiting my two kids, Tara and Kyle, and our granddaughter, Maddyson. You can also find me and Tom venturing throughout southern Missouri camping in our Fifth Wheel!"

"My job is to make sure everyone that walks through our door or calls our office feels comfortable and confident they have found a law office that cares for them. Every day I get the pleasure of working closely with our wonderful clients to make sure they are taken care of, their questions answered and concerns met. Because the work we do is on such a personal level, clients become like family.
Throughout my career as a paralegal, I have worked for several attorneys and David is one of the most caring, patient, and understanding lawyers I have had the pleasure of working for. David's office is a true "team" atmosphere where clients and employees are valued. I see David take the time necessary to really get to know each client so he can help them have PEACE OF MIND when it comes to knowing their Estate Plan is done and done right.
In my off time, I enjoy reading, enjoying the Ozarks, and spending time with my teenage daughter and our cute little fur baby, Loki."

"My daily passion for work and life is simple: treat others like you want to be treated. When working with clients, I get to help them protect their loved ones from life’s uncertainties and that gives me great joy and job satisfaction.
I enjoy getting to know each client so I can help meet their needs and expectations while striving to provide the comfort of PEACE OF MIND. Through the years, I’ve been fortunate to see many of those client relationships bloom into life-long friendships.
Working with the “team” at David Payne Law is a humbling yet rewarding experience. I'm blessed to be a part of this group of devoted professionals. I come to work with a smile on my face.
When I’m away from the office, I love spending time with my husband, Mark, and our three kids, Cassidy, Morgan, and Adam. On the weekends, you’ll usually find us on the lake, hunting, gardening, or on the golf course if we aren’t attending our kid’s Mizzou events."
